Composite bonding is the secret to a perfect smile, and that coveted Hollywood finish.

Composite bonding is a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that doesn’t involve any drilling or injections. Designed to even out a smile and to make the teeth appear more uniform and symmetrical, composite bonding can be used on its own when treating smaller cosmetic issues, or as the finish for a smile makeover when used in conjunction with teeth straightening and/or teeth whitening.

What is composite bonding made of?

This treatment uses a composite resin material that can be shade-matched to the teeth. It is bonded to the teeth and expertly shaped by our cosmetic dentistry team to create a smile you can’t wait to show off.

Who is composite bonding suitable for?

This treatment can be used to address minor cosmetic issues such as surface damage, small chips and cracks, and very slight overlapping issues. We’ll assess your suitability for composite bonding at an initial consultation, but most patients looking to perfect their smile are suitable candidates for this treatment.

What happens during the treatment?

This treatment can usually be carried out over just one appointment. First, we’ll gently clean and roughen up the surface of the teeth using a chemical agent, then we’ll add the bonding agent followed by curing it with a blue light. Finally, we’ll sculpt the resin into the desired shape and cure it once again before finishing up with a mirror polish for the perfect flourish.
